  4. As AMosaic2.0 is almost ready and the missing features (localfiles,
  5. installer script and prefs editor) are of minor importance for the
  6. preformance we have decided to release the same version as our
  7. betatesters have been testing. This version is called AMosaic1.4beta
  8. and it is still a beta (although almost all bugs are gone).
  9. This is the AmiTcp version. I have not been able to compile an as225 and
  10. a DNET version. The will be ready for the final release.

  12. This archive (or parts of it) MAY NOT be uploaded to aminet or any other
  13. place that distributes Amiga software (eg big BBS'es, CDrom collections etc.)
  14. The reason for this is simple: We don't want this version to be mistaken
  15. for the final one.

  23. Usage:
  24. Just run this version instead of the old one.
  25. It will read your old hotlist and use your old config file.

  27. There has been some additions to the env/prefs file:

  29. TitleToWindow  True/False       ;Show the document title in the window title
  30. Buttons        Text/Images/Images&Text  ; The look of the tool bar.
  31. IsindexToForm  True/False        ; Show an <isindex> markup tag as a form.

  33. Please note that the image cache is flushed every time the window is iconified.
  34. This is not a bug, it is a feature to avoid crashes when moving AMosaic
  35. between different windows.

  40. The feature set is frozen. The development work has changed hands
  41. inside the group, so please don't assume that a bug previously
  42. reported to the mosaic mail list (amosaic@insti.physics.sunysb.edu)
  43. are know; they could well have been lost in the shuffle.
